Last week we had 2.5 to 3.5 inches of rain on all our farm. Now with the heavy rain and all the snow melt the Wabash river has flooded some of the lower land.
It will be a couple weeks before we can start any field work if with hit a spell of some good weather. We continue to haul grain , at this time we are hauling to ADM at Newburgh Indiana.
We will be caught up with grain sales by end of the week, may hold the remainder of crop for awhile. Damon has started to apply fertilize on lawns of our customers in our new business of IB Excutive turf.
This is a business that Wabash Valley at Allendale Illinois was doing and we have taken over, we are excited about it and believe it will fit in well for us.
We are now really starting to get geared up for spring and continuing to do some ditch work and we still have to put some bridges in for a new irrigation to cross a ditch on the Baum farm south of St. Francisville.
There has been a lot of deaths in our area since the first of the year, I continue to keep those familys in thought and prayers
As always thanks for reading my blog ; Dennis
